2. Update your Estate Plan with an estate planning attorney.
3. Look at a credit report to make sure there are no shared accounts or liabilities left after the divorce.
4. Life Insurance – many divorce decrees include provisions around this. If it is required for alimony or child support, set it up so both parties receive duplicate paperwork.
5. Create a Financial Plan based on your new chapter to help you take control of your finances.
